UMT does not use the 3.67 scale that a lot of Malaysian CGPA pages assume. Bahagian K of Peraturan Akademik Edisi 10 (2026) sets A at 4.00 for 80–100, A- at 3.75 for 75–79, and B+ at 3.50 for 70–74. B is 3.00, B- is 2.75, C+ is 2.50, C is 2.00, C- is 1.75, D is 1.00, and F is 0. There is no A+ row and no D+ row. An A- copied in as 3.67 understates a UMT A- by 0.08, and on a 3-credit course that is 0.24 grade points before the division.
Take three courses: A- for 3 credits is 11.25, B for 3 credits is 9.00, and C for 2 credits is 4.00. The semester is 24.25 over 8 credits, GPA 3.0313. Load any example and replace the letters if you want a different set. The arithmetic is the same one as every other page here: point times credit, summed, divided by credits.
Repeats are where the cumulative number and the semester number part company. The regulation's treatment, as read for this page, keeps the better grade in the PNGK and keeps both attempts in the semester PNG. Type the set the slip is actually averaging. If both attempts are still in the cumulative figure, enter both. If the portal has already dropped the first, do not put it back to be thorough.
Accounting core courses coded ACT are called out in the same regulations: C- or below must be repeated. A C- still carries 1.75 into the average while it remains. Passing the ACT rule and moving the PNGK are two results. Verify programme pass rules with your faculty. The points in the table are the part taken from Bahagian K.
This is the same point family as UPM, not as UKM. UPM's source is an older faculty PDF and is flagged separately. UMT's source is the 2026 edition linked under the table. A diploma or a professional programme can still add a higher minimum grade on top of these points.
Verify with your faculty. A- is 3.75 and B+ is 3.50, the same family as UPM, not the 3.67 scale. There is no A+ and no D+. Accounting core courses coded ACT must be repeated at C- or below. Verify programme pass rules with your faculty. The points are the regulation's table.

The shared formula does not change with the logo on the transcript. Multiply each grade point by the credit hours, add those products, and divide by the credit hours. What changes is the point you are allowed to multiply. If your letter is not in the table, do not borrow one from another university. Use the main CGPA calculator to switch scales, or the SPM page if you are still counting school grades.
