On a UiTM slip the semester figure is the purata nilai gred, PNG, and the cumulative figure is the himpunan purata nilai gred, HPNG. Students still say CGPA. The division is grade point times unit kredit, summed, then divided by unit kredit. A 3-credit A at 4.00 contributes 12. A 3-credit B+ at 3.33 contributes 9.99. A 2-credit C at 2.00 contributes 4. That is 25.99 over 8 credits, an average of 3.2488. Load a worked example and replace the letters if you want this exact set.
The degree and diploma tables in UiTM's academic regulations give A+ and A both 4.00, then A- 3.67, B+ 3.33, B 3.00, B- 2.67, C+ 2.33, and C 2.00. C is the last grade those tables mark as lulus. C- is 1.67 and gagal, then D+ 1.33, D 1.00, E 0.67, and F 0. A failed grade still changes the HPNG if it remains on the record. Do not delete it to see a happier number unless the faculty has already excluded the attempt.
The awkward part is A+. The Asasi regulations PDF on uitm.edu.my starts at A for 80–100 and has no A+ row. Degree tables in the peraturan akademik do have A+. If your transcript never prints A+, choose A. Both are 4.00, so a genuine A+ and a genuine A weigh the same, and inventing an A+ does not raise the average. It only makes the printout look like a different programme.
Class of degree and the Anugerah Dekan are not this average by themselves. Published bachelor classifications often start kelas pertama around 3.50, with a minimum HPNG to graduate nearer 2.00, and the peraturan adds conditions about how many semesters you took and whether the result came from the semester perdana. Read those conditions on your own offer or handbook. A 3.50 from this page is not an award letter.
Credit hours for university courses, English, and third language sit in the same average when they carry a grade point. A course assessed only as lulus or gagal, with no point, stays out. Industrial training is a common example of a course people paste in twice, once as a grade and once as a pass. Use the row that matches the slip.
Switch the dropdown if you are checking a friend at UTM or UM. Leaving the UiTM points in place while reading another university's letters is how a 3.70 gets stored as 3.67. The source line under the table is the document to quote if someone asks where 3.67 came from, and the verify banner stays because the asasi and degree tables are not the same document.
Verify with your faculty. Verify with your faculty. Diploma and bachelor regulations widely publish A+ and A as 4.00, with C as the last passing grade. The Asasi (foundation) scale on uitm.edu.my starts at A for 80–100 and has no A+. If your transcript has no A+, pick A.

The shared formula does not change with the logo on the transcript. Multiply each grade point by the credit hours, add those products, and divide by the credit hours. What changes is the point you are allowed to multiply. If your letter is not in the table, do not borrow one from another university. Use the main CGPA calculator to switch scales, or the SPM page if you are still counting school grades.
