A wheel of names is a list drawn as slices, spun until one slice sits under a fixed pointer. This page is that wheel. It is the same program as spin the wheel, which is also the random name picker. Put one person or one option on each line. Empty lines do not get a slice. Press Spin. The result line names whoever landed at the top.
The index is chosen with the browser's cryptographic random number, then the wheel animates to the matching angle. Reducing motion in the system settings skips the animation and still lands on that slice. The words under the canvas are read back from the slice at the pointer after the turn stops, so a visual mismatch is not possible. Colours are only there so neighbouring names are easy to tell apart.
Names are not uploaded and not stored. Do not put anything in the box that the room should not see. There is no account. Remove the winner when you are working through a list without replacement. Leave the box unticked when you might spin the same class again. For a two-answer question, the yes or no wheel starts with Yes and No already typed. Bingo cards are a different game if you wanted paper rather than a spinner.
Long names can overflow a thin slice. Use a short label, or fewer lines, if the canvas clips a word. One name alone is a valid wheel. It will spin and land on that name. Add at least the people who are actually in the draw, and delete anyone who has left the room, because a line you forgot is still a slice.
