A random name picker chooses one line from a list so a person does not have to. This one draws the list as a wheel, because watching the spin is the point for a classroom or a party. It is the same tool as spin the wheel and the wheel of names. Paste the names, one per line, and press Spin. The sentence under the wheel is the pick.
Each non-empty line is equally likely. The draw uses the cryptographic random source in the browser, not a homemade pattern based on the clock that a determined person could guess. The animation lasts about two seconds unless reduced motion is on, in which case the wheel moves straight to the winning slice. The published result is whichever label is under the pointer at the end.
Tick remove-the-winner to draw without replacement: the chosen line leaves the box, and the next spin is among whoever remains. Leave it off to allow repeats. The list is not saved. Copy it back from your notes next time. There is no signup. For two options only, use the yes or no wheel. This picker is not a paid raffle and does not produce an audit certificate.
Keep labels short enough to read on a slice. Delete blank extra lines if you pasted a spreadsheet column, although blank lines are already skipped. Anyone who can see the screen can see the names, so do not paste a list you meant to keep private.
