Any image

Any supported image is accepted. JPG is selected until you pick another output. Nothing is uploaded.

Files stay on this device. PDF to Word is not offered. Audio and video are not converted: ffmpeg.wasm was left out because it is large and unreliable here. GIF animation keeps the first frame. Spreadsheet formulas become values.

Image converter is the page for the job itself: you have a picture, and the next form wants a different picture format. JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, ICO, AVIF, HEIC, HEIF, SVG, and a baseline TIFF all go in the same drop zone. The output list is JPG, PNG, WEBP, a single-frame GIF, BMP, ICO, AVIF when this browser can encode it, and PDF. JPG starts selected. Pick another format before you convert if you need one. Animated GIF and animated WebP keep the first frame. JPEG has no transparency, so a clear pixel is painted on white.

The drop zone reads the file in this tab. Images can become JPG, PNG, WEBP, a single-frame GIF, BMP, ICO, or AVIF when the browser can encode AVIF. HEIC and HEIF are decoded with heic2any, and that library is fetched only after a HEIC file is dropped. SVG is rasterised from its width or viewBox. A baseline TIFF (uncompressed or PackBits, 8-bit strips) is decoded in the tab. JPEG-compressed and LZW TIFF files are not, and a photo is not traced into SVG. Several images can become one PDF, one picture per page. A PDF can become a JPG or PNG of each page, up to 20 pages. Tables move between CSV, TSV, JSON, a simple row-shaped XML, XLSX, and older XLS. Text moves between TXT, a small Markdown subset, and HTML. DOCX becomes HTML or plain text with Mammoth, which keeps headings and paragraphs and drops text boxes and tracked changes.

This is not a universal office suite. PDF to Word is not offered: a browser cannot rebuild an editable document with the original styles, and a picture of a page is not that document. Audio and video, including MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, and FLAC, are not converted. ffmpeg.wasm is about 30 MB and was too heavy and unreliable to ship here, so there is no MP4 to MP3 page and no MOV to MP4 page. Animated GIFs keep the first frame. Spreadsheet formulas become values. Passworded PDFs stay locked. Nothing is uploaded. For a JPG or PNG that only needs to become a PDF, JPG to PDF is the narrower tool. To shrink a photo toward a kilobyte target, use compress image. To shrink a PDF by redrawing pages, use compress PDF.

The same widget sits on each pair page, with that pair already selected. Open PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG, JPG to WEBP, PNG to WEBP, WEBP to JPG, WEBP to PNG, GIF to PNG, BMP to JPG, AVIF to JPG, HEIC to JPG, HEIC to PNG, SVG to PNG, PNG to ICO, or JPG to ICO. A dropped file of a different image type still converts. JPG to SVG is not here, because tracing pixels into vectors is a different job.

    Questions people actually ask

Does Image converter upload the file?

No. The conversion runs in the browser. Close the tab and the only copy left is the one you downloaded.

Will the result match the original exactly?

You get a new file in the format you picked, from the pixels this browser could decode. It is not a promise that animation, layers, or a vector path survive.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes. Add them together. Images going to PDF become one PDF, one picture per page. Other batches download as a ZIP.

What will this page not do?

It will not trace a photo into SVG, convert audio or video, or invent a format this browser cannot encode.
